Clay Time

I love working with clay. Clay is so forgiving, if you mess up all you have to do is squish it up and start again. My absolute favorite clay to work with is ...

Creative Paper Clay.

What I like about paperclay is that it air dries (no baking needed) and you can you use several finishing techniques.  While polymer clay comes in an array of beautiful colors as opposed to the white paper clay, some paints and sealers and glazes are not so compatible with polymer clay and leave a tacky, stickiness to the finished piece.

Lately I have been really into making jewelry with several different mediums but my favorite is paperclay.
The pendant on this necklace is made from paperclay.

The gray stones on this necklace are paperclay as well.

Coming soon:

These pieces, as well as several others will be available on Etsy!

Have a great rest of your day!!!

Paper Bead Craftin'

I you live in my neck of the woods (Upstate N.Y.), or even if you don't, ya gotta agree it's been one helluva winter. So glad to see it go, but the thing is, the nice weather doesn't stay long enough. Nuff bout that though, just gotta enjoy it while it's here. Seems like a good time to get my craft on. Been working on making my jewelry lately and have discovered paper beads. Yeah, that's right, paper beads. So easy and fun to make and you can literally make them from scraps such as magazine pages and junk mail. Just check out this great site to get ya started.   http://www.ilovepaperbeads.com/blog/how-to-make-a-basic-rolled-paper-bead/

Pretty cool, huh???
